Marianne Mokrycke is the Principal of the firm and has 30 plus years’ experience. Marianne has created a unique approach to community, open spaces and park design which finds creative solutions to fully integrate how people feel, use, and experience outdoor space.

Whether it is a landscape and site design for a municipal park, a streetscape, an educational or health care setting, Marianne brings an unexpected perspective to every project and has an eye for creating balance between an appealing functional design and one that also incorporates a flow with the surrounding community.

Marianne’s innovative landscapes have attracted considerable attention over the years where her firm has been cited for a long list of Urban Design and Landscape Awards from various municipalities. Her firm’s most recent awards include the 2018 Public Works Project of the Year Award, Transportation $2-10 million category, Victoria Avenue Streetscape Revitalization, Niagara Falls, and the 2018 Architectural Hardscape Award, Ontario Concrete Awards, Beasley Park Redevelopment, Hamilton.

Marianne is a member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA), the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA), the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and the Back To Nature Network. Marianne also Lectured on Playground Design in 2012 for the Ontario Playground Academy, Ontario Parks Association course.

Patty creates meaningful landscapes that are functional, accessible, safe and inviting. She brings over 30 years experience in landscape architectural design to OMC. She graduated with honours from University of Guelph in 1987 and has worked in Canada and abroad. Patty developed urban design expertise working out of offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Hong Kong and Sydney, Australia. Returning to Ontario in 1998, Patty diversified her experience working on a wide range of projects. She provides landscape architectural services from master planning through to construction documentation and contract administration.

Patty has been involved in organizing and facilitating public consultation, enjoying the challenges involved in ensuring design solutions respond to user needs. Patty has served as a member of the City of Hamilton Advisory Committee for Person with Disabilities and Hamilton's Engagement Committee (HEC). She is committed to incorporating the best practices for sustainable, enduring and functional design.

Lesia Mokrycke is a landscape artist and architectural designer with a strong focus in urban ecology and natural systems. She worked with leading landscape architectural practices in Seattle, Vancouver and Zurich before returning to Hamilton to establish Tropos, a researched-driven studio that works collaboratively with OMC.

At OMC Lesia is a valued member of the design team. She leads discussion on a range of design projects in the office including urban streetscapes, masterplans, ecological restoration, civic parks, educational institutions, and artistic residential projects.

Working from the intimate scale of a garden to the larger scale of regional planning, her approach to landscape architecture utilizes a strong commitment to materials to integrate natural systems with human experience. In each of her projects Lesia seeks to create sensitive and resonant spaces that evoke connections with the environment.

Lesia is an Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA), the Canadian Association of Landscape Architects (CSLA), and the American Association of Landscape Architects (ASLA). She lectures regularly on issues of urban design, and works with municipalities to advance public knowledge and landscape thinking in the build environment.

In 2021 and 2023 Lesia was the recipient of a Canada Council for the Arts grant for her innovative work on the urban forest.

Jennifer is an integral member of our team and works closely in a supportive role to manage our work. She has 25+ years experience providing executive-level administrative assistance in both the private and non-profit sectors. At OMC, she assists with proposals, marketing, correspondence, reports, specifications, contract administration, and accounts payable/receivable.

Asia Sedenkova joined the OMC team in the spring of 2022. She is a graduate of Belarusian National Technical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Asia possesses 25+ years’ experience in architectural, civil and manufacturing design and drafting. Working closely with our team of designers, she is highly skilled and efficient, completing full working drawings accurately within stringent time constraints for both private and public sector projects. Asia takes great pride in her work, striving for clarity and excellence in all design and detailing assignments.

Rolina Mae Garcia joined OMC in the spring of 2023. She possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and recently obtained her Architectural Technician Diploma from Mohawk College. Mae is bringing her unique skillset to produce drawings in a timely, accurate fashion, upholding OMC's high standards.
