This water play feature is fully accessible, with the two levels connected by a curved, gently sloping walkway. Creative earthwork design resulted in new clear views of the Grand River from the upper level of the splash pad: a view that had previously been inaccessible due to the height of flood control berms along the south bank of the river. The upper level provides views of the new pool and deck areas to the south.
This splash pad fulfilled the project mandate for a community facility that is dynamic, exciting and unique.
OMC was responsible for the design of the new splash pad and associated landscaped park areas surrounding the splash pad, swimming pool and pool house.
