Hunter Street Functional Plan

2009 to 2012
Hamilton, ON
Canada

Our firm provided services to the City of Hamilton for the provision of a Functional Plan for 1.7km of Hunter Street in the Downtown Core from Wellington to Queen.

The City had previously undertaken a number of Master Plans for the Downtown Core, including the Hamilton Downtown Mobility Streets Master Plan which we were involved with.

Our responsibilities included: an identification of all of the initiatives from Master Plans completed to date; the creation of a functional layout plan which will guide future detailed design and capital reconstruction projects; facilitation of a process among all internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus on the final plans, the review of proposed work against underground and overhead utilities and structures, and confirmation that the scheme is buildable and will meet transportation needs as identified by engineering staff.
